History of
Bona Dea:
Bona Dea was born out of the love, inspiration, spiritual growth and searching of its owner Lari Trogani. Having been raised with an English grandmother,
and a father who loved tea, tea was always an important element of family. The tea parties hosted by her mother at home were to become adventures into teahouses throughout the world. From the fields of Sri Lanka and the traditional “tea houses“ of Shanghai, to “High Tea” in the castles of England and France, Lari immersed herself in the spirit of tea not knowing one day she would create a teahouse of her own.
Although she continues practicing law as a felony criminal defense attorney, Lari felt the need for a
more balanced lifestyle where she could combine her love of
law, travel and tea. This calling was for a slower pace with a serene, artistic and positive feeling. As fate would have it Lari happened upon a quaint Victorian house for sale at a time when she needed to move out of her law office. Six months later the garage was converted to her law office and the house was re-opened as the World of Bona
Dea!
